Looking into the "Prosperous" New Year

I am not the biggest fan of a cheesy New Year post filled with reflection on the past year, and gushing about what I want to happen in the new year, but here I am. I got the inspiration to write this from my therapy session last week. My therapist asked me to focus on one word going into 2022.

The word I am centering my 2022 around is the word Prosperity. I am not choosing this word with the goal of getting rich and spending tons of money. I chose this word, because I want to channel prosperity into my relationships, my career advancement, and my personal development. We often tie together the word prosperity into just a place of financial prosperity, which is a large part of why I chose this word.

After graduating college last year, wow... it has almost been a year, I have learned a lot. I have taught myself all kinds of marketing skill sets I wasn't able to learn in college, such as paid ad campaigns, SEO optimization, and how to build brand identity. I also learned how to drive a forklift, how to move across the country in a month, and how to laugh at my losses. My entire life changed last year and that is a LOT to process.

Entering this new year, I am optimistic, I am driven, and I am hopeful that I will find a position I get to grow in for the next couple years. I want to be working in branding, public relations, digital marketing, event planning, or content creation and I will do everything I can to position myself there. Cheers to the new year everyone :)
